Leadership Vicksburg is a nine-month experience designed for professionals who want to grow as leaders, build meaningful relationships, and gain a deeper understanding of Vicksburg-Warren County.
Each year, approximately 20 participants from a variety of industries, careers, and backgrounds come together to learn, explore, connect, and take action. Through leadership development, industry visits, project management instruction, networking, and a hands-on Community Project, participants gain experiences that extend far beyond the classroom.

Great communities need strong leaders. Participants explore the principles of FranklinCovey’s The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and discuss how those principles can be applied to their careers, relationships, teams, and everyday lives.
The Community Project
Find a Need. Follow your Passion. Create an Impact
Participants identify a need or opportunity in Vicksburg-Warren County and work together to create a meaningful project over the course of the program. Your team will follow its passion, connect with community partners, and turn an idea into something that can make a real difference.

Leadership Vicksburg brings together people who might not otherwise have the opportunity to sit at the same table.
Over nine months, participants build relationships with professionals from different industries and backgrounds while connecting with community leaders and organizations throughout Vicksburg-Warren County.
Your class becomes part of your professional and community network.
The Leadership Vicksburg Experience
Leadership Vicksburg begins each August with Orientation and continues through May, culminating with Graduation. The class typically meets once a month, generally on the second Wednesday, allowing participants to balance the program with their professional and personal commitments.
Approximately 20 individuals are selected each year to participate in this unique experience.
Participation in Leadership Vicksburg is open to individuals who are members of the Vicksburg-Warren County Chamber of Commerce, either through their own membership or through their business or organization. The program investment is $500 per participant, which is typically paid by the participant’s business or organization.
Over nine months, you’ll have the opportunity to grow as a leader, expand your network, better understand your community, and help create a positive impact.
